# Submit a personnel amendment adding the new person to the protocol and indicating the type of animal work they will be performing. (Once added to the protocol the new personnel must complete all required courses within 60 days)
# Contact MCIT at 734-936-8000 to receive a level 2 passcode
# Log-on to MLearning and register for the following courses
## Online courses:
### Orientation for Animal Care and Use
### ULAM Animal room procedures Part 1 
## Lectures
### Introduction to Lab Rats and Mice
### Training in Rodent Survival Surgery (Only required if doing survival surgery – as indicated in animal handling details)
### Hazard Containment Lecture (Only required if working with Hazardous Agents – in animal handling details)
## Hands-on Courses
### ULAM Animal room procedures Part 2 (must complete part 1 online first) 
### Mouse 101 Workshop (Bring a copy of the current protocol)
# Once all training is complete, submit form received in ULAM Animal room procedures Part 2 course to ULAM, and contact Matt Hinderman for a tour of the LSI facility.
# New personnel can now access the animal facility and perform experiments in the Animal Use Protocol.
